Description of Interface Unit

The Interface Unit can be run standalone with the experiment hardware OR in parallel with the experimental software (software only supplied when experiment hardware purchased with dedicated The experiment hardware transducers are wired into the Interface Unit using front mounted, quick connect screw terminals. The integral 4 line, backlit LCD displays only the parameters being fed into it by the experiment hardware.

1. Hardware to enable capture and storage of inputs from a variety of experiments
2. To accept inputs of Force, Strain, deflection and angle
3. To operate completely stand-alone with experiment hardware or in parallel with experimental software
4. To have integral 4 line LCD to display captured data with engineering units
5. To have front panel keypad for moving through parameters
6. To have status LED’s on front panel
7. To incorporate USB port(s) for computer connection
8. To operate with external power supply AND USB supply voltage
9. To be mountable to Universal Frame and Stand or on its own
10. All connection leads included
