The plant is self-sufficient and consists of a stainless steel tank from which a pump draws the water which is sent to the turbine, so creating a suitable hydraulic head. An alternator connected to the turbine converts the hydraulic energy into electric energy the alternator is regulated by an electronic control system which maintains the generator under a constant load.
